What is true fellowship?

What does true fellowship look like?

There is much more to fellowship than attending church, listening to a sermon and having a chat over a cup of tea before everyone heads their seperate ways for the rest of the week.

There is a depth to fellowship.

It is not a passive activity but an active one which results in a shared strength and joy in the body of believers, yet it is also coupled together with persecution.

Fellowship and persecution are not words usually put together, yet believers in the early church often experienced it so… how can this be?
